County Line Baptist Church Rendering

County Line Baptist Church

Solex Architecture prepared a rendering for an addition to County Line Baptist Church in Vernon Hill, Virginia. The proposed addition included a 500 seat sanctuary, entry foyer, covered porch, classrooms, additional restrooms, choir room, trustees’ room, and a pastor's study. A schematic floor plan was generated as a basis to ensure that the final rendering massing and approximate window locations would accommodate the desired spaces. By matching materials on the addition to that of the existing church, the intent was to make the addition appear as if it was part of the original structure. The rendering was used to aid in the decision-making process and fundraising efforts.

Located in Danville, Virginia, Mount Hermon Baptist Church decided there was a need for a Family Life Center. In an attempt to be mindful of costs, the church decided that a pre-manufactured steel building was the desired option. The exterior of the building consists of brick and metal wall panels with a standing seam metal roof, and drive-thru portico. The interior of the 9,000 square foot facility includes a 5,650 square foot Gymnasium/Multi-Purpose space, an office, food prep area, men's and women's restrooms and adequate table/chair storage. This facility allows for a multitude of purposes during or outside of normal church hours.
